HP 26010D Sheet
Feeder Update
Response to the new HP 260lOD
Sheet Feeder has been strong, verifying
that automatic cut-sheet
feeding is a necessity for many
2601A Word Processing Printer
users. Before selling the Sheet
Feeder, however, the current system
support and ordering information
should be clearly
understood.
System Support
The 26010D Sheet Feeder is currently
supported for use with the
new release of HPWORD
(HPWORD Rev. #A.01.00) on the
HP 3000. For the HP 120 and HP
125, the Sheet Feeder is currently
supported by Series 100iWORD.
Further system support is under
develovment and will be available
in 2nd ~uarter FY '83'.
Ordering Information
The 26010~ Sheet Feeder is customer
installable on new 2601A
printers. This is because all new
shipments of 2601A printers (as of
November 10,1982) now include
sheet feeder control hardware as a
standard feature.
When ordering the 26010D Sheet
Feeder for an existing 2601A, a CEinstallable
upgrade kit, option
#010, must be specified.
Paper Tray Accessories
The 26010D comes with two 8.5" x
11" size paper trays. Ordering option
#020 will provide European
A4 size trays instead. A variety of
paper trays are also available from
Computer Supplies Operation.
Tray sizes include 8.5" x 11" (width
x height), 11" x 8.5" Landscape, 8.5"
x 14' Legal, 210mm x 297mm DIN
A4, and 297mm x 210mm DIN A4
Landscape.
HP 2602A Cables
The HP 2602A ships without any
cables. It is, therefore, imperative
that cables be ordered according to
the host that the 2602A will be connected
to. The appropriate cables
are as follows:
HOST
CABLE
HP Series 80 any HP-IB
(83,85,86,87)
HP Series 100 13242G
(120& 125)
HP Series 200 any HP-IB
HP Series 3000 13242N
(all with ADCC
or ATC)
HP Series 3000 13242X
HP 250 (HP-IB) any HP-IB
None of the above cables come
from the Vancouver Division. CSO
is prepared to provide the above
cables.
To determine if the upgrade kit is
needed, check the serial number on
the back of the printer. If the serial
number has a prefix of 2236A or
lower, an upgrade kit is required.
Another way to tell is to check for
the sheet feeder interface connector
on the printer. If there is a connector
at the center of the back of
the printer, no upgrade kit is
required.
HP 2671 HP-IL Printer
Provides Fast Output offerings, such as the 82905B.
I
Vancouver has invested substantial
resources into the HP-IL interface
technology. The 2671A and 2671G
printers Gith offer faster output at
120 cps and quiet operation when
compared to other HP-IL printer
