Course Requirements:<br />

1 Final Exam (cumulative)<br />

Grading:<br />

Weight for <strong>the</strong> final grade will be <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

Discussion 25%<br />

Mid-term 25%<br />

Final 50%<br />

Mid-term and final exams will consist <strong>of</strong> a mix <strong>of</strong> multiple choice questions and short answers.<br />

They will cover materials from <strong>the</strong> lectures, readings (both textbook and papers), and discussion<br />

sessions. The final exam will be cumulative.<br />

Makeup exams are NOT given. In you are unable to take <strong>the</strong> midterm or have an illness or<br />

emergency, you are responsible for contacting your TA or Pr<strong>of</strong>. Nakano before <strong>the</strong> examination. A<br />

written verification regarding <strong>the</strong> illness or emergency must be provided. If you feel that a mistake in<br />

grading has been made on your exam, submit your exam and a typed explanation to your teaching<br />

assistant by Friday (5pm) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> week following <strong>the</strong> exam. When you submit your exam for re-grading,<br />

<strong>the</strong> entire content <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> exam will be taken into consideration.<br />
