b See Table 14.30 in (76AJ04).
c E x = 5905 ± 12 keV has also been reported.
d 6585 ± 5 keV has also been reported.
e J = 2 follows from an np coincidence study. The J shown for 14 O*(5.92, 6.27,
7.77) are in accord with this work.
3. 12 C( 3 He, n) 14 O Q m = −1.1466
Observed neutron groups are displayed in Table 14.23. Angular distributions have been measured
at E( 3 He)= 15 to 25.4 MeV [see (81AJ01)] and at 45.5 MeV (87AB04; n 0 ,n 1 ). For 14 O*(5.17)
[J π =1 − ], Γ γ /Γ=(7.2 ± 3.5) × 10 −5 ; using Γ c.m. from Table 14.22, Γ γ =(2.7 ± 1.3) eV (89FE06).
(89AG1A; prelim.) report Γ γ =(7.6 ± 3.8) eV.
4. (a) 12 C( 12 C, 10 Be) 14 O Q m = −20.6136
(b) 12 C( 14 N, 12 B) 14 O Q m = −18.513
At E( 12 C)= 480 MeV (reaction (a)) forward-angle differential cross sections have been studied
for 14 O*(6.27, 9.9, 14.1, 15.7). 14 O*(0, 6.59) are also populated. The forward spectra are dominated
by 14 O*(9.9) (88KR11). For the earlier work on both reactions see (76AJ04, 81AJ01). See also
(88ME10).
5. 13 C(p, π − ) 14 O Q m = −137.161
Differential cross sections have been measured at E p = 250 MeV to 14 O*(0, 5.17, 6.27 + 6.59,
9.92) and at E p = 354 and 489 MeV to 14 O*(0, 6.27 + 6.59) (88HU04). At E p = 489 MeV a broad
