The schemes of work have been written by mathematics<br />
teachers with a real interest in football. Consequently,<br />
the activities bring to life the four rules, place value,<br />
fractions, percentages, money, time and other concepts.<br />
Arsenal resources and daily newspapers are used to<br />
provide data. Also, football matches involving Arsenal<br />
and the pupils’ own games, are analysed by the students<br />
ahead of statistics and representing data exercises.<br />
Each module uses fun card and dice games to develop<br />
numerical skills and to reinforce good practice.<br />
