Table 2. Predators of sea turtle hatchlings on the beaches of the Southeast Peninsula, St. Kitts,
23 June to 31 July 1989 (from d'Arbeau 1989). "Tracks on land" terminate prior to reaching the
sea, presumably because of predator encounters. Likely predators are specified, and losses to
predators during the study period are estimated for each of seven beaches. Note: Turtle Bay and
an unnamed bay to the southwest (Figure 5) are frequently cited interchangeably.
