Motivation for the SAVEDISK area
R. Dach et al.: Bernese GNSS Software: Processing Examples in Version 5.2
Document compiled: Bern, July 2, 2013
The main result files from the data analysis are collected in the
SAVEDISK area. To take them out of the processing campaign area
has several advantages:
• When processing GNSS data, a lot of files from various
processing steps will populate your campaign directories. Most of
them are not needed in a long–term archive.
• If the long–term archive area is separated and only consists of
the result files from the processing they can be better protected
(backup and so on).
• Because the result files are stored in the SAVEDISK area, you can
easily clean up your campaign area without loosing important
files. Please keep in mind that the computing performance
decreases if you have several thousands of files in a directory.
