Universiti <strong>Tenaga</strong> <strong>Nasional</strong> (UNITEN) team emerged<br />

as champion for the Manual Driving category in the<br />

PERODUA Eco-Challenge held at the Melaka<br />

International Motorsports Circuit on 26 June <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

Best Technology Adoption for Public Sector &<br />

BEST RFID IMPLEMENTATION<br />

SGAM 2009 ICT Award – Best Technology Adoption for<br />

Public Sector: the implementation of Radio Frequency<br />

Identification (RFID) at Bukit Sentosa Storage<br />

Warehouse was awarded at the 20 th Share Guide<br />

Association of Malaysia (SGAM) Conference that was<br />

held on 6-7 October 2009 with the theme of “Adopting<br />

Innovative ICT Through Turbulent Times.” The award<br />

was based on the effectiveness of the application and<br />

its return on investment.<br />

World Asia <strong>2010</strong> for Asia Pacific Region, 1 st runner-up<br />

Best RFID Implementation – this award is an<br />

international recognition given by RFID Business<br />

Associate, an Asia Pacific RFID organisation, during<br />

the RFID World Asia <strong>2010</strong> Conference held on<br />

30 June <strong>2010</strong> in Singapore.<br />

Geospatial Excellence Award <strong>2010</strong> – Geospatial<br />

Technology for Electricity<br />

This award was presented by YB Dato Sri Douglas<br />

Uggah Embas, Minister of Natural Resources and<br />

Environment to YB Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad<br />

Noh, President/CEO of TNB at the Map Asia Conference<br />

<strong>2010</strong> held from 26-28 July <strong>2010</strong> in Kuala Lumpur<br />

Convention Centre (KLCC). This award is to honour<br />

and recognise the best geospatial application<br />

development in the Asia Pacific region as well as<br />

being a catalyst and driver for the growth of<br />

geospatial science and technology.
