Signing of Agreement PETRONAS, GE<br />

and TNB REMACO<br />

TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn. Bhd.<br />

(TNB REMACO), a wholly-owned<br />

subsidiary of TNB was awarded an eightyear<br />

contract valued at approximately<br />

RM117 million by PETRONAS Gas Bhd.<br />

(PGB) for maintenance work on its nine<br />

gas turbine generator and its auxiliary<br />

system, Centralised Utility Facilities’<br />

(CUF) in Kerteh, Terengganu and Gebeng,<br />

Pahang. The contract was signed on 28<br />

October by Dato’ Wan Zulkiflee Wan<br />

Ariffin, Chairman, PETRONAS Gas <strong>Berhad</strong>;<br />

Mr. Kenji Uenishi, President GE Energy<br />

Asia Pacific and Dato’ Sri Che Khalib<br />

Mohd Noh, President/Chief Executive<br />

paid his first official visit to <strong>Tenaga</strong><br />

<strong>Nasional</strong> <strong>Berhad</strong> (TNB) on 31 October<br />

2009 in conjunction with the 60 th<br />

Anniversary of TNB. During the visit, the<br />

Prime Minister met and interacted with<br />

TNB employees and launched the LLN/<br />

TNB 60 th Anniversary Book.<br />

“International Energy Week 2009”<br />

Exhibition at Borneo Convention<br />

Centre, Kuching<br />

TNB participated in the “International<br />

Energy Week 2009” Exhibition organised<br />

by the Sarawak State Government at the<br />

Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching<br />

(BCCK). The exhibition was to promote<br />

Sarawak as a principal hub through<br />

SCORE or Sarawak Corridor for Renewable<br />

Energy. It also marked the opening of<br />

the BCCK.<br />

TNB Deepavali 2009 Gathering<br />

TNB organised a Deepavali goodwill<br />

gathering on 10 November 2009 to<br />

f o s t e r c l o s e r r a p p o r t b e t w e e n<br />

management and staff of various racial<br />

origins in the true spirit of 1Malaysia.
