<strong>Colchester</strong> CONNECTION<br />
With the help <strong>of</strong> volunteers and generous donors, phase one <strong>of</strong><br />
the <strong>Colchester</strong> Dog Park, a designated <strong>of</strong>f-leash area for dogs,<br />
opened on July 18th. It is located at 89 Old Amston Road in<br />
<strong>Colchester</strong> near the transfer station. The park is open to<br />
<strong>Colchester</strong> and non-<strong>Colchester</strong> residents and their well-behaved<br />
dogs.<br />
The dog park is funded by citizens like you so donations are needed<br />
to keep the park going and growing. You can contribute to the<br />
dog park by sending a check to <strong>Colchester</strong> Parks & Recreation<br />
c/o <strong>Colchester</strong> Dog Park or by purchasing a brick for the park<br />
entrance walkway at www.brickrus.com/colchesterdogpark .<br />

Trick or Trunk<br />
Friday, October 29th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. <strong>Town</strong> Green<br />
(All vehicles must be on the Green by 5:45 p.m.)<br />
<strong>Colchester</strong> Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the 2nd annual<br />
Trick or Trunk event! This very popular event is the perfect way to get<br />
into the Halloween spirit.<br />
What is it Trick or Trunk is a safe and<br />
fun way to do trick or treating for the<br />
whole family. Families bring their<br />
vehicle to the <strong>Town</strong> Green on Friday,<br />
October 29th and park their car, van<br />
or truck facing the Green. Open your<br />
decorated truck, set up a lawn chair,<br />
pass out treats and amaze the crowd!<br />
There are several prizes for best decorated<br />
trunk such as funniest, scariest,<br />
most creative etc. There will also be<br />
awards and prizes for the children<br />
with the best costumes.<br />
When is the event Friday, October 29th.<br />
All cars must be on the <strong>Town</strong> Green by 5:45 p.m. Event runs from 6:00 p.m.<br />
to 7:30 p.m. In order to provide a safe environment no cars will be permitted<br />
to enter or exit the <strong>Town</strong> Green between 5:45 and 7:30 p.m.<br />
Admission Each car must bring one carved Jack-O-Lantern with a lit candle<br />
in it to add to our Jack-O-Lantern display.<br />
