This is the main search method for
returning publication metadata (i.e.
article metadata). This method has
three types of responses:

idlist: only returns publication IDs
lite: limited set of essential
metadata
core: all metadata
getDatabaseLinks

Will retrieve all database crossreferences
for a given record; a
count of total number of database
cross-references, a count of each
individual database cross-references,
and metadata for the records from
each. Databases included are:
ARXPR, UniProt, PDB, Intact, EMBL,
CHEMBL, CHEBI, OMIM and InterPro.

getReferences
ID and data
source
Gives the total number of references
cited in a given article, plus authors,
title, journal and publication year as
ordered in the reference list.

Retrieves a count and list of articles
that cite the query ID.
