ENTER THE FANTASY ZONE
On Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday,
Oct. 27, portions of Duval Street
and adjoining side streets will be
designated as a Fantasy Zone. The
Fantasy Fest staff would like to make
sure you strictly heed the city’s open
container law within the Zone, which
is … a container must be open in
order to drink from it!
The city aims to please and
will temporarily suspend the open
container law within the Fantasy Zone
on these two days only.
From noon to midnight revelers
can stroll, march, prance or do the
Mayan hustle while sipping libations
along Duval Street from Front to

PARTY POSITIONS
The Key West Tourist Development Association and
the Key West Police Department welcome you to
Florida’s premier masking and costuming
celebration and encourage you to participate
in all the many exciting events of “A-Conch-
Alypse.”
Applying order to the chaos by
following a few simple rules can
make Fantasy Fest 2012 a safe
and pleasant adventure. Below,
the City of Key West Police
Department summarizes below
the rules and laws you need to
abide by.
No glass containers are
allowed in the designated “Fantasy
Zone.” Drink from paper or plastic
cups provided by bars and vendors.
Open containers of alcohol are
not allowed outside the Fantasy Zone.
Please stay inside the party area
while you are carrying open alcoholic
beverages. For your convenience,
trashcans and recycle bins are
located along the boundary of the
Fantasy Zone. Toss your cups in the
South streets, and intersecting cross
streets to Simonton and Whitehead
streets.
For safety sake, bottles and cans
are not allowed. Please drink from
the paper and plastic cups provided
by bars and vendors.
Of course, in thanks to our
thoughtful city staff for the Zone, all
festival-goers will properly dispose of
drink containers in the many recycle
bins as they leave the Fantasy Zone.
PORT-O-LETS SPELL RELIEF
Port-o-lets are just about
everywhere you may need to go
during the Street Fair, Duval Street
Promenade and Captain Morgan
Parade. Waste Management, Key
West’s refuse and recycling arranger
and a sponsor of this year’s week of
revelry, are providing safe and clean
relief stations bordering the Duval
Street festival activities.
Look for directional arrows on
Duval Street pointing toward the
port-o-let locations on the cross
streets. Remember, relief is just
around the corner.
NO DRINKING FOR MINORS
All festival attendees must have
been born on or before Oct. 26, 1991
to purchase or consume alcohol at
the Street Fair liquor booths. Any
person that purchases alcohol for a
recycle bins as you leave the area as Waste Management
now recycles plastics 1 through 7.
The Fantasy Zone is marked with bright pink caution
tape, so as you leave when you see the tape you
are exiting the Fantasy Zone.
Nudity is ILLEGAL and is NOT allowed on
public property or in public view at any time.
Lewd acts on public property or in
public view are strictly ILLEGAL and NOT
tolerated.
Body painting is allowed but must
be done in enclosed or screened
in areas, entirely out of public view.
Painted female breasts are permitted,
but ONLY ALLOWED within the
designated “Fantasy Zone”. Please
wear a cover-up to avoid ILLEGAL
exposure on public property and on
all city streets outside of the “Fantasy
Zone”.
No backpacks, coolers,
packages, water guns, weapons or
replica weapons will be allowed.
Please be courteous and patient
with enforcement officers and with each
other.

FIRST AID STATIONS
Key West Rescue personnel will
provide first aid treatment at several
fixed locations during the festival
Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27.
Rescue trucks will be stationed on
Front, Caroline, Eaton and Southard
streets and Truman Avenue between
Simonton and Duval streets.

The terms and logos “Fantasy Fest”
and “Fantasy Festival” and the slogan
“A-Conch-Alypse” are the sole properties
of Key West Tourist and Development
Association, Inc. and are protected by
