17. Stock Option Plans The Company and its certain subsidiaries have implemented stock option plans. Stock option expense included in selling, general and administrative expenses for the year ended March 31, 2009 and 2008 amounted to ¥382 million ($3,898 thousand) and ¥258 million, respectively. (1) Stock Options by the Company Under the Company’s stock option plan, subscription rights to shares were granted to directors and corporate officers of the Company.
