Transformations Beginning
This summer, we will retain our times for Celebration
and Table worship from the school year.
Beginning in June, our schedule will be:
Saturday: 5:00 pm, Sanctuary — Organ and Piano-led worship
Sunday: 8:30 & 9:45 am, Sanctuary — Organ and Piano-led worship
Sunday: 11:00 am, Sanctuary — Band-led worship
Monday: 7:00 pm, Chapel — Organ and Piano-led “Cabin Worship”
We will also begin serving a Hot Breakfast in the Great Hall once a month this summer
(June 2, July 14 and August 18). Starting in September, a hot breakfast will be served
weekly each Sunday.
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our Congregation Dialogues
over the past month. We heard a lot of great comments and ideas from you and we value
each and every one of them.

explore what the Bible has to say about friendship in this six
week study using Friendship: Cultivating Relationships that
Enrich Our Lives by Margaret Feinberg. Bring a friend, or

Spring SALT Classes
Seniors Adults Learning Together (SALT) will present their
spring series of enrichment opportunities on Mondays, May 13

The Bible

Record numbers of people saw the epic series “The Bible” on
the History Channel this winter. Now it’s your chance to see it
and discuss it with others. Each Sunday morning in the chapel
at 9:45 am throughout the summer a portion of this series will
be shown. Then, for about half the hour, the group will have an
opportunity to talk about and learn more about that particular
part of the Bible.

"Ragtime to Rock" Handbell Concert
Saturday, May 18 at 7:30 PM // Freewill offering
Twin Cities Bronze, a world-renowned handbell ensemble will
join all SOTV Handbell Choirs for a concert featuring music
from Coldplay, Scott Joplin, and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra
and concluding with a choreographed light show.
Pastor Paul’s Retirement Celebration

Pastor Paul will preach at all worship services. A special
luncheon will be held on Sunday. The luncheon is free, but you

Children Sing on May 12 in Worship
PK-Grade 5 children are invited to come with their parents to
worship at 8:30, 9:45 or 11:00 am in the sanctuary. They will
provide special music "Our God is a Great Big God."
All children are invited to bring their lambs as we launch our
summer Children in Worship program, Green Pasture Moments.
GodZone is our education program for children PK-Grade 5.

or full week camp are invited to participate in one day of camp
activities to get an idea about what it is all about. First graders

9 th Graders & Parents: A letter will arrive at your home soon
regarding info on the Rite of Confirmation. Students who have

A mix of service and recreational activities will stretch and grow
your faith and friendships! Students must participate in at least
one session to go to Valleyfair.

Panera Before School (PBS)
Mondays, 6:30 - 7:00 AM until June 3. No meeting on
Memorial Day, May 27. Cost: Free (bring money for breakfast)
Join us at one of two locations: Apple Valley Panera (Cedar & CR
42) or Eagan Panera (Promenade Place) for food, a devotion, and
prayers. We will make sure you get to school on time!
High School Bonfires
Wednesdays, 8:00 - 10:00 PM // June 12 -July 31 (no Bonfire
July 3) // Cost: Free, No registration necessary
Enjoy summer evenings with friends around the bonfire! Camp
songs, faith conversation, "play" time, and s'mores are all part of
the night. In case of bad weather, festivities will move indoors.
