MS Organizational Options & Considerations<br />

Strong Desire to explore 5-8 middle school alignment<br />

Four‐year sequence affords greater continuity in programming,<br />

strengthens sense of community and increases parent involvement in<br />

school activities<br />

Combined with PreK‐4 elementary, the 4‐4‐4 grade level organization<br />

provides fewer transitions and improved continuity of experience<br />

If 6-8 organization is sustained, schools should be<br />

retrofitted to support mission and vision<br />

Did not support a grade 7-9 middle school organization<br />

– configuration does not align with mission and vision<br />
