MS Organizational Options & Considerations
Strong Desire to explore 5-8 middle school alignment
Four‐year sequence affords greater continuity in programming,
strengthens sense of community and increases parent involvement in
school activities
Combined with PreK‐4 elementary, the 4‐4‐4 grade level organization
provides fewer transitions and improved continuity of experience
If 6-8 organization is sustained, schools should be
retrofitted to support mission and vision
Did not support a grade 7-9 middle school organization
– configuration does not align with mission and vision
