Features of IS indicators used in this
presentation
• Quantitative nature:
Indicators are quantified using well-known statistical sources.
• Official character and robust methodology:
This allows for coherent international comparisons.
• Up-to date figures:
Figures are the most recent available (2008 in most cases).
• Avanza Plan budgetary effort (over € 6.5 billion in 2005-2009) is reflected
in the figures shown.
• Interannual comparison is possible, as methodology has remained
unchanged for almost all indicators over the years.
