Thursday, representatives with
Wiginton, Hooker Jeffry Architects
presented county commissioners with
a preliminary site plan for a new courthouse
as part of the county’s “master
facilities study plan – to 2030.”
Charlie Kearns and Jim Wiginton
showed commissioners the basic layout
for a three-story 130 000-square-foot
LOVING YOUR REFLECTION — Boyd teenager Hannah Ferver, 18, uses her blog, nationwide conferences, and an
upcoming book to teach young women that beauty isn’t pining over what is seen in the mirror, but being pure and
striving to be a woman of God and loving what He has created.
Sheriff’s Investigator Jerry DeMoss
said White was attempting to hand
the gun to a friend, Ernest Hammond,
19, who accidentally hit the trigger instead
of the safety, causing the gun to
discharge.
Authorities said White and some
friends had been shooting the rifle at a
stock tank before the injury.
DeMoss said no charges will be filed
against Hammond because the incident
was accidental.
The Decatur school dis
trict is considering offering
a Bible course, possibly as
early as the fall 2010 schoo
year.
The idea was first discussed
at the board’s regular May
meeting after trustee Alan
White suggested the district
consider offering the course
as an elective. White said he
had talked to the Paradise
school district, which offered
a Bible course for the first
time this past school year
