An intelligent integration plat<strong>for</strong>m <strong>for</strong> all crucial onboard systems with<br />

the offshore market, container <strong>and</strong> tanker trade up to ferries <strong>and</strong> cruise<br />

Together with experienced <strong>and</strong> proven partners Wärtsilä is<br />
introducing the Control <strong>and</strong> Communication Centre – 3C.<br />
Wärtsilä Control & Communication Centre – 3C represents the very<br />
latest in fully integrated vessel control systems. It will be a vital link<br />
between the bridge <strong>and</strong> the ship’s automation, engines <strong>and</strong> propulsion<br />
control systems, <strong>and</strong> combines the selection of individual navigation<br />
components in one seamless system.<br />
3C consists of multifunction displays covering full workstations<br />
with radar, ECDIS <strong>and</strong> conning, various sensors <strong>for</strong> target detection,<br />
heading, position <strong>and</strong> further navigation data with st<strong>and</strong>ardised user<br />
interfaces. 3C is based on know-how <strong>and</strong> components that are well<br />
known <strong>for</strong> their outst<strong>and</strong>ing precision <strong>and</strong> reliable design. The control<br />
centre fulfils basic IMO requirements as well as highest class notations<br />
<strong>for</strong> one-man bridges. The use of st<strong>and</strong>ard hardware <strong>and</strong> software<br />
allows the configuration of modular system solutions, from the tanker<br />
or containership through the offshore supply ship <strong>and</strong> the mega yacht<br />
