Description
The test procedure has remained,
in principle, the same since 1932,
when Casagrande proposed defining
limits by relating the moisture content
characteristics of soil under certain
conditions.
The plastic limit of soil is the water
content of the soil below which it ceases
to be plastic.
It works on the principle of lowest
moisture content of a soil that will permit
a sample to be rolled into threads of
3 mm diameter without the threads
breaking.

Description
Enables simple and rapid determination of
liquid limit. The unit is supplied complete
with a 35 mm long stainless steel penetration
test cone with a smooth polished surface
