DIRECTORS<br />
The <strong>Marshall</strong> Hospital Corporation<br />
was born in 1956 and<br />
<strong>the</strong> hospital’s first Board of Directors<br />
was elected. <strong>Marshall</strong><br />
<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> continues to<br />
operate as a nonprofit, public<br />
benefit corporation and is organized<br />
without any intention<br />
of pecuniary gain to any person,<br />
persons or corporation.<br />
<strong>Marshall</strong> uses its funds for upgrading<br />
programs, purchasing<br />
new equipment and developing<br />
medical services that provide<br />
for <strong>the</strong> healthcare needs of<br />
<strong>the</strong> community. The <strong>Marshall</strong><br />
<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong> Board of<br />
Directors is a volunteer group<br />
of community members who<br />
provide <strong>the</strong>ir time and experience<br />
to set policies, maintain<br />
<strong>Marshall</strong>’s financial stability<br />
and make decisions that affect<br />
<strong>the</strong> future of <strong>the</strong> organization.<br />
We are proud to present <strong>the</strong><br />
new officers, new members<br />
and returning members that<br />
will represent <strong>Marshall</strong> on <strong>the</strong><br />
2010 Board of Directors.<br />
Michael Ward, JD<br />
Secretary<br />
Bradley Barnhill, MD<br />
Chief of Staff<br />
President<br />
David Combellack previously served<br />
on <strong>the</strong> board from 1981 to 1991,<br />
including a term as Board President<br />
from 1985-88. He is a partner in <strong>the</strong><br />
law firm of Combellack and Craig, a<br />
general, civil practice. He has been an<br />
attorney in Placerville since 1975 and<br />
a member of <strong>the</strong> Placerville Rotary<br />
since 1978.<br />
Vice President<br />
Kimberly Beal is vice president of<br />
Dorado Land and Development. She is<br />
also an independent real estate broker<br />
and <strong>the</strong> government affairs director<br />
for <strong>the</strong> El Dorado County Association<br />
of Realtors. She came to El Dorado<br />
County in 1966 and currently lives in<br />
Cameron Park with her husband and<br />
three sons. She is a past president of<br />
<strong>the</strong> El Dorado County Association of<br />
Realtors and a founding member of<br />
<strong>the</strong> El Dorado Forum.<br />
Secretary<br />
Michael Ward, JD (attorney at law),<br />
graduated from El Dorado High School<br />
in 1967. He is a certified specialist in<br />
workers compensation law and one of<br />
<strong>the</strong> founding shareholders of Cuneo,<br />
Black, Ward and Missler in Sacramento,<br />
which represents employers<br />
in work related issues. He is a former<br />
member of <strong>the</strong> school board for <strong>the</strong><br />
Gold Oak School District. Through his<br />
wife Francine, he has been involved<br />
in many local charities and volunteer<br />
activities. He and Francine have three<br />
children who all graduated from El<br />
Dorado High School.<br />
John Tucker, MD<br />
Gael Barsotti<br />
Bradley Barnhill, MD is <strong>Marshall</strong><br />
<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Center</strong>’s current Chief of<br />
Staff and a physician at <strong>Marshall</strong>’s<br />
Cameron Park campus. He is board<br />
certified in internal medicine and has<br />
been serving <strong>the</strong> people of El Dorado<br />
County since 1991. Dr. Barnhill<br />
moved to El Dorado County following<br />
<strong>the</strong> completion of his medical degree<br />
from University of Texas and his residency<br />
in New Orleans. He was eager<br />
to care for patients in a small community<br />
and enjoys helping <strong>the</strong>m get and<br />
stay healthy, whe<strong>the</strong>r through in-office<br />
appointments or hospital care. Dr.<br />
Barnhill is married with two daughters<br />
and in his spare time he enjoys reading,<br />
snow-skiing, hiking, gardening<br />
and cooking.<br />
John Tucker, MD has been a physician<br />
for 35 years, getting his start in<br />
1975. He has been <strong>the</strong> <strong>Marshall</strong> Hospital<br />
Emergency Department <strong>Medical</strong><br />
Director since 1990. He graduated<br />
from <strong>Medical</strong> College of Wisconsin,<br />
and went to undergraduate school<br />
at <strong>the</strong> University of Colorado. He did<br />
his internship at <strong>the</strong> University of<br />
California, Davis and his residency<br />
in Emergency Medicine at Denver<br />
General Hospital. He has been with<br />
Emergency Physicians <strong>Medical</strong> Group<br />
(EPMG) since 1981. He was <strong>the</strong> Emergency<br />
Department <strong>Medical</strong> Director at<br />
Mercy Methodist from 1985-1989. He<br />
served two different two-year terms<br />
on <strong>the</strong> EPMG Board of Directors in <strong>the</strong><br />
1990’s.<br />
Gael Barsotti, with his wife Joan,<br />
purchased an apple orchard in 1976<br />
and moved his family from Foster<br />
City to Camino. He joined <strong>the</strong> Apple<br />
Hill Growers Association and soon became<br />
a highly respected grower and<br />
cider maker. He is a past member of<br />
Foster City’s Lion’s Club and Camino
