6 Enrollment at Gillespie Middle School is Declining Student enrollment data shows a steady decline at Gillespie MS from the 2003-04 academic year to the present.
Enrollment at Gillespie is also declining due to the growth of middle grades at the “Feeder Schools” 7 Contributing to the enrollment decline at Gillespie is the addition of middle grades at the three feeder schools. M. Hall Stanton and Cleveland schools will add grade 8 for the 2009-10 academic year. The Steel school will add grade 7 for the 2009-10 academic year. Therefore, as of September 2009, no students will be feeding into Gillespie.
