Registration
Registration fee covers CME offerings,
syllabus, daily continental breakfasts and
warming huts, and one ticket to the Mardi Gras
party on Tuesday evening. Spouse registration
and/or additional event tickets can be
purchased at a nominal charge. See
Registration Form for pricing. NOTE: CME
activities are for paid registrants only. Continental
Breakfasts and Warming Huts are
for paid registrants and paid guests.
Refunds, less a $75 administrative charge, will
be given on receipt of written cancellations
received prior to February 1, 2003.
Accommodations
The Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians
has chosen Breckenridge and the Beaver Run
Resort as the site of its 8th Annual Winter
Conference. Beaver Run offers a ski-in/ski-out
location. In addition, this premier property
offers on-site equipment rental, hot tubs,
health club, indoor putt-putt, game room,
restaurants and lounges.

Room Deposit Policy
A deposit of two nights per unit is required
within 10 days from date of booking the
reservation. The remaining balance is required
45 days prior to arrival. Beaver Run reserves
the right to cancel your reservation without
additional notice if full payment is not received
45 days prior to arrival.
Room Cancellation Policy
To cancel a reservation you must contact
Beaver Run at least 45 days prior to arrival to
receive a refund less $75 cancellation/
handling fee. If cancellation occurs less than
45 days prior to arrival date, all monies are
forfeited unless space is rebooked. If space is
rebooked, a full refund less the $75
cancellation/handling fee will be issued.
Accreditation
This program has been reviewed and is acceptable
for 16 Prescribed hours by the American
Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP
Prescribed credit is accepted by the AMA as
equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit for
the AMA Physicians’ Recognition Award.
Objectives
This activity is intended for family physicians
and is appropriate for other primary care providers.
It is designed to introduce family
physicians to the latest information, techniques
and technology applicable to office-based
patient care through didactic lectures and
interactive discussions. Upon completion of
this activity, participants should have a
working and applicable comprehension of
these topics. Specific objectives for each topic
will be included in the participant syllabus.
This meeting also allows an opportunity for
students, residents, practicing physicians,
educators and faculty to interact.

Ground Transportation
The LAFP has contracted with Resort Express
to provide shuttle transportation from
Denver International Airport. The contracted
rates are $44 single way or $88 round trip.
Rates are good from February 26 through
March 8, 2003. Private charter rates are also

hours from the time of travel are subject to a
100% cancellation charge.
Mardi Gras Party
Tuesday, March 4
8:00 pm -10:00 pm
COSTUMES are the theme for the evening.
Join us to salute the King & Queen of the
Krewe of Family Doctors and get your voice
ready to shout “throw me something mister”.
Paid registrants receive one complimentary
ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased for
$40 Adult (17 and over) and $20 Child (16 and
under). Children 5 and under are free.
Note: Children are welcomed at this
event. We encourage you to bring
your children as we have planned a
special event just for them!
