The National Satellite Communication and Broadcast System in the Republic of Belarus
INFORMATION
on realization of the National system of satellite communication and
broadcast project in the Republic of Belarus
The National system of satellite communication and broadcast in the
Republic of Belarus shall be established on the basis of the own BelintersatlCommunication
satellite. Under the project we shall establish the Ground
control center located in Stankovo i.l., Dzerzhinsk region, the Republic of
Belarus.
The satellite's launch is set in the second half of year 2015 from Sinchan
launch site.
The satellite's life circle is 15 years.
The satellite is to take 51.5° e.l. orbit position and shall provide a wide
range of services in Europe, Africa, Asia and other coverage areas. The satellite
is based on the advanced powerful platform and carries transponders operating
in С- and Ku-bands.
For today we accomplished a range of items:
• We signed the Delivery Agreement of the National satellite
communication and broadcast system in the Republic of Belarus
between the "Precise electro-mechanics factory" RPUE (the
Customer) and the CGWIC company (the Contractor);
• We draw funds for the Project realization (we signed a
corresponding Agreement);
• We have a team of managers;
• Construction of the Ground Control Center is set on the first half of
year 2013.
The "Precise electro-mechanics factory" RPUE is in charge of realization of the
National satellite communication and broadcast system project in the Republic
of Belarus.
Under the Project the "Precise electro-mechanics factory" RPUE implements
the following functions:

• Satellite operator (Belintersat communication satellite operation and
services);
• Provider of the satellite telecommunication and geoinformational services
(communication channels, tele-radio broadcast and broadband access);
• Integrator of the satellite telecommunication and geoinformational
systems (design and deployment of the satellite and TV networks,
aerospace monitoring).
Technical specifications of Belintersat-1 are described in Table 1.

Taking into consideration orbit-frequency resource specifications of
satellite networks in 51.5° l.e. orbit position, power of the selected satellite
platform, market and customers' requirements and existing limits on the
coverage areas' coordination, the satellite shall carry 38 transponders (receivertransmitters);
34 of them are 36 MHz-wide-band-transponders and 4 are 56
MHz-wide-band-transponders transponders.
