Program
A bequest to PAWS Chicago, the city’s largest No Kill
humane organization, is a wonderful way to save the lives
of homeless cats and dogs long after your lifetime.
Through the PAWS Chicago Guardian Angel
program, Chris Ksoll has made a lasting
commitment to homeless animals.

Leaves a Legacy
for the Animals
Most of us want to leave our mark on the
world and to feel like we contributed. PAWS
Chicago supporter Chris Ksoll is no exception.
“I want my personal legacy to include charitable
giving,” says Ksoll. “The idea that I can still make
a difference after I am not on this earth makes
me feel great.”
Inspired by her dog Louie, a PAWS Chicago
alumnus and Hurricane Katrina survivor, Ksoll
wanted to include an animal welfare organization
in her legacy giving plan. And she immediately
thought of PAWS Chicago and its Guardian
Angel program.
“PAWS has a special place in my heart for
rescuing my dog, Louie,” she says. “They are also
a four-star rated Charity Navigator charity so I
know that my gift will go directly to the animals.”
Which is exactly why the Guardian Angel
program was designed: to give animal lovers
and dedicated supporters of PAWS Chicago,
the opportunity to leave a legacy of financial
support through a bequest or other planned
gift arrangement.
Ksoll says once she knew that she wanted
to support PAWS Chicago, it was as simple
as working with an attorney, who guided her
through the process of integrating PAWS
Chicago into her estate plan. Now, she takes
comfort in knowing that she will help save the
lives of animals for years to come.
