year, we will be recruiting 8 student volunteers. We are looking for a mixture of first-year students
and upper-year students.

Youth Project
Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) is an organization geared towards assisting youth, aged 16-30,
in increasing their employability. YOU works to provide these youth with training, skills development,
support and resources which will assist them in finding employment and in building their futures.
Every three weeks, YOU runs an intensive program for at-risk youth, called Training for Employment
Success (TES), where they cover a variety of topics related to these youth’s needs.
NOTE: Volunteers will be required to attend YOU to deliver the workshops to these youth. YOU is
located at 141 Dundas Street in downtown London (accessible by bus).
Student volunteers will provide the youth participants with a 1-2 hour seminar on employment law,
which will cover a variety of related issues, such as the effect of a criminal record on employment.
Our aim is to engage with the YOU participants, and to help them to learn new and useful information
with regards to their legal rights in an informal and interactive atmosphere.
NOTE: All volunteers must be available for a mandatory training session on September 23
from 12:30-2:00pm. Seminars will be run at YOU from 1:00-3:00pm once every three weeks on
either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Volunteers must also be required at least one meeting with
PLE Supervisors per semester as needed.
