Guidelines
Seasonal uniform changeover is not required and students may choose to wear the options of
uniform in which they feel comfortable.
Students are requested not to mix formal and sports uniform.
Students with hair of length past the collar, are asked to tie it back. The Uniform Centre stocks
acceptable hair accessories.
Scarves, gloves and beanies may be worn to and from school. They should be plain red or navy.
Students may wear a watch, a ring and plain studs/sleepers. No other jewellery or nail polish is
permitted.
In Years 5 and 6 formal uniform is to be worn everyday, except for PE days and other special days as
notified.

The Friends’ School Uniform Centre is the only authorised retailer of the Friends’ School uniform.
The Uniform Centre can advise on all School uniform requirements. It sells new and used items of
uniform.
The Centre sells memorabilia and other items on behalf of School bodies such as the Parents and
Friends Association, Development Office, Bookroom, Old Scholars’ Association and Boat Club.
There is also a display of books available from the Main School Office.
All prices are inclusive of GST and are subject to change without notice.
Payment methods
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa or debit card accepted by eftpos. Parents
who are unable to shop in person may phone the Centre and arrange payment by credit card, or by a
crossed cheque, made out to The Friends’ School. Alternatively, items may be selected by students
and held in the Centre until payment is received. Once receipted, the order can be collected from the
Centre, any School office or Friends’ Early Years. Contact the Uniform Centre for details.
Recycling your uniform
The Uniform Centre recycles used uniforms by holding them for resale on behalf of parents subject
to the conditions listed below. The Centre also accepts donations of uniforms to the Parents and
Friends Association.
