33 What's On in December... Sleeping Beauty at the Everyman Theatre Friday 28 November 2014 – Sunday 11 January 2015 The Everyman Pantomime is back! This year it's Sleeping Beauty and promises to be as amazing as previous pantos at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. Featuring the return of Tweedy the Clown and William Elliott as Nanny Nicehands. Will Tweedy have 'Keef' his pet iron this year? Will there be another whacky water and foam and pie fiasco? How bad will the bad fairy be? Will Sleeping Beauty ever wake up? The only way to find out is to visit Everyman Gloucestershire's Theatre, Cheltenham Santa Specials on the GWR Weekends of 29, 30 November, 6, 7, 13, 14 & Saturday 20 - Wednesday 24 December 2014 Enjoy the fun and spirit of the festive seasson at the GWR From Cheltenham Race Course by steam train all the way to Winchcombe (or the North Pole!) through the long tunnel, an visit Santa and his elves in his grotto. When you arrive at Winchcombe the elves will meet you off the train, and make sure you have plenty of time to visit Santa and receive excellent presents especially selected by him for each age group before your train returns to Cheltenham From Toddington station by an early 1960's diesel rail car with Santa and his young elves on board the train, spending lot of time sitting with each family. The number of tickets sold on these trains will be limited, so you will have plenty of space for your family, and there is the added excitement of seeing Santa coming down the train talking to everyone and giving ou excellent presents Whichever way you choose, every child gets great top quality presents and everyone will be offered complimentary mince pies that are specially made for us, plus hot or cold drinks, biscuits and fruit. And there is free parking at either station. Please note there is NO access to Winchcombe Station. Don't miss out as seats get booked very quickly. Christmas Day Swim at the Cheltenham Lido Thursday 25 December 2014 This is definitely one for the brave!! Back to test your nerve, the Christmas swim has grown in popularity over the years, but please note this isn’t for the faint hearted and is for adults only. All participants must sign a waiver form prior to entering the VERY cold water and attempting to swim a width or even a length. www.uniquemediagroup.co.uk

One of the Brewery’s most popular events returns for a sixth year, with Santa arriving from the North Pole with two of his very special companions. This is a magical event which for many brings to life the spirit of Christmas. Children are welcome to meet the reindeer up close and say hello to Father Christmas in his grotto who will be listening carefully to their Christmas wishes. Customers are advised to come no later than 3pm to avoid disappointment. This is a totally free event, however there'll be a minimum donation of £1, gratefully received for Macmillan Cancer Support.
