To avoid confusion (and to also avoid repetitive
questions) – please note the following:-
• The time allowed for the first practical examinations is 4 hours .
• Change of format for marking practical examinations - examiners mark each question
separately. This will avoid previous answers from a candidate having any influence on the
marks for the next case
• Autopsy assessment - the autopsy assessment is a stand alone component attempted any
time after the first 15 months of training – the assessment must be satisfactorily completed
before the Board of Censors will recommend the conferring of Fellowship lowship by Council
• Exemptions for any one phase of the Part 1 examination are only valid for one year
• Exemptions for any one component of the Part 2 examination are ordinarily o
only valid to
the next examination
