Female adults overwinter in silk webs in all<br />
refuges outdoor.<br />
Overwintered adults begin to be active on<br />
alternative hosts in spring, e.g. weeds rather<br />
than <strong>crop</strong>s and then move into cotton or corn<br />
fields from end of May to early June. They<br />
cause the most severe damage during mid-Jul.<br />
