ORDER<br />

No. B-25/20/94/PWC/IV Bhopal, dated 31/1/1996<br />

With a view to streamline the pension system, the State Government, have departmentalised the entitlement<br />

work relating to the issue to PPO/GPO etc., by relieving the Office of the Accountant General (A&E) II, M.P.,<br />

Gwalior (hereinafter called AG) of their responsibility. In this regard the work relating the various departments<br />

was departmentalised through the following orders of the State Government in <strong>Finance</strong> Department :--<br />

1. No. E-4/3/86/R-5/IV, dated 21/4/86,<br />

2. No. 1258/3058/R-2/IV/86, dated 23/12/86,<br />

3. No. F.B.-25-50/IV/PWC/90, dated 31/12/91, and<br />

4. No. F.B.-25/8/IV/PWC/92, dated 7/7/93<br />

2. In consultation with the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, it has been decided to takeover the<br />

pension work relating to the remaining departments/offices w.e.f. 1/4/96.<br />

3. The AG will deal with the pension cases relating to the aforesaid departments/offices, received in the<br />

office on or before 31/3/1996. Cases received thereafter will be redirectd by the AG to the concerned Divisioanl<br />

Joint Director of Treasuries, Accounts & Pension (hereinafter called JD) under intimation to the Head of Office<br />

from whom the case is originated. Cases relating to the Government servants retiring in or after April 1996<br />

already received in AG’s office may also be similarly redirected to the JD, if issue of PPO/GPO is still pending.<br />

4. The new procedure will be applicable in respect of all those government servants retiring in or after<br />

April, 1996 and also to those who retired prior to this month but whose pension case have not been submitted<br />

to AG even once by 31/3/1996. The new procedure will not, however, apply to the officers of All India<br />

Services or to those officers who draw their own pay with reference to the entitlements certified by the AG.<br />

5. The new procedure will also cover all cases of revision necessitated by the issue of government orders<br />

on or after 1/4/1996.<br />

6. The Head Office will continue to process the pension cases according to the existing procedure but send<br />

the cases to the JD in the concerned division instead of the AG.<br />
