CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION<br />

The <strong>side</strong> <strong>squib</strong> RH <strong>circuit</strong> consists of the airbag sensor assy center and the separate type front seat back<br />

assy (<strong>side</strong> <strong>squib</strong> RH).<br />

The <strong>circuit</strong> <strong>in</strong>structs the SRS to deploy when deployment conditions are met.<br />

DTC B0112/<strong>41</strong> is recorded when a <strong>short</strong> to ground is detected <strong>in</strong> the <strong>side</strong> <strong>squib</strong> RH <strong>circuit</strong>.<br />

Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.<br />

Disconnect the negative (-) term<strong>in</strong>al cable from the battery,<br />

and wait for at least 90 seconds.<br />

Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assy<br />

center and the separate type front seat back assy (<strong>side</strong><br />

<strong>squib</strong> RH).<br />

Measure the resistance accord<strong>in</strong>g to the value(s) <strong>in</strong> the<br />

table below.<br />

(a) Connect the connector to the airbag sensor assy center.<br />

(b) Us<strong>in</strong>g a service wire, connect S19-1 (SFR+) and S19-2<br />

(SFR-) of connector ”C”.<br />

NOTICE:<br />

Do not forcibly <strong>in</strong>sert a service wire <strong>in</strong>to the term<strong>in</strong>als of the<br />

connector when connect<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

(c) Connect the negative (-) term<strong>in</strong>al cable to the battery,<br />

and wait for at least 2 seconds.<br />

(d) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at<br />

least 60 seconds.<br />

(e) Clear the DTCs stored <strong>in</strong> memory (see page 05-1215 ).<br />

(f) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.<br />

(g) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and wait for at<br />

least 60 seconds.<br />

(h) Check the DTCs (see page 05-1215 ).<br />

OK:<br />

DTC B0112/<strong>41</strong> is not output.<br />

HINT:<br />

Codes other than code B0112/<strong>41</strong> may be output at this time, but<br />

they are not related to this check.<br />

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK<br />

HINT:<br />

Before perform<strong>in</strong>g the simulation method, check that the airbag sensor assy center is <strong>in</strong> check mode<br />

(see page 05-1218 ).<br />

Perform the simulation method by select<strong>in</strong>g the check mode with the hand-held tester (see page<br />

05-1218 ).<br />

After select<strong>in</strong>g the check mode, perform the simulation method by wiggl<strong>in</strong>g each connector of the airbag<br />

system or driv<strong>in</strong>g the vehicle on a city or rough road (see page 05-1218 ).<br />
