Joint Professional Sports Night cum Prizes
Presentation
The Joint Professional Sports Night was successfully
held on 22 January 2010 at Lippo Centre Chiu Chow
Restaurant. It was a prizes presentation to those winning
teams in various Joint Professional Sports Tournaments
in the year. A total of 36 HKIS sports teammates joined
the Sports Night. We were all on stage with the Guest of
Honour, the Honourable Mr CY Leung, GBS, to share the
happiness of the fruitful results as follows:-
- Champions in Table Tennis and Basketball
- 1 st runner-ups in 10km Run and Soccer Cup
- 2 nd runners-up in Golf, Snooker, Tenpin Bowling and
Volleyball
Sincere thanks to Evangeline Chan and Tzena Wong, who
are the team captains of the HKIS Volleyball team and
HKIS Bowling team respectively, for being the MCs in this
Sports Night.

HKIS Dragon Boat Team in the Hong Kong
Championships 2010 - We need you!

The HKIS Dragon Boat Team will start its tough training
right after the Lunar New Year. The team captains would
like to recruit more members who are interested in paddling
and water sports to join the team. We aim to get
the champion trophies in various tournaments in 2010.

Marathon 2010 - We are ready!

A strong HKIS Running Team is formed to join the Joint
Professional Running Competition in the Hong Kong Marathon
2010. The list of runners is as follows. More HKIS runners
are welcomed and required. Please let me know if you
have already registered to the Hong Kong Marathon 2010.

From each category, the top 4 best results will be submitted
to the Joint Professional Sports Committee for comparison
with that of the other professional bodies. We were the
1 st runner-up among 6 professional bodies last year. Let’s
work hard for the Champion this year.
