In the last week of Term One, the Year One students had a dress up day where they came as their favourite nursery
rhyme character. The day was a great success with the children really enjoying acting as their character. We had lots
of Little Boy Blues, Mary (no lambs) and a couple of Bo Peeps as well. We had a visit from Mr Andrews who sang us
some fun nursery rhyme songs. Parents came along and enjoyed sharing a special themed morning tea together.
In the second last week of term, Year One had a visit from Adam’s father, Pierre Senekal, who is a police officer. This
was very informative and exciting to see a real live policeman and his policewoman partner, Amanda. Some children
had the chance to be clocked running with a speed camera! Children learned about how to stay safe on their bikes and
on roads.
