disturbances), what is planned within the project design to ensure the sustainability of the<br />

project?<br />

4. Is your project in an area designated as at risk to rising sea levels? If so, you may be<br />

required to provide an assessment of the risks to be consideration in the evaluation of<br />

your proposed project. What considerations and modifications have you made to the<br />

project concept to address its susceptibility to rising sea levels?<br />

5. How will the project be protected from vandalism and deterioration?<br />

6. What local organizations or partnerships will be assisting with ongoing operations and<br />

maintenance of the <strong>river</strong> parkway or urban stream?<br />

C-5. Project Readiness<br />

Projects that are ready to proceed may be more competitive for funding.<br />

A. For development projects, explain the status and timeline of each of the following:<br />

• Preliminary plans<br />

• CEQA compliance<br />

• Commitments from project partners, etc.<br />

• Native plant list<br />

• Land access/tenure agreements<br />

• Required permits or reviews by other agencies<br />

• Project mitigation requirements (permits or environmental clearance)<br />

• Property restrictions and/or encumbrances<br />

B. Describe any possible factors which could significantly delay the implementation and/or<br />

completion of the project and how these factors will be addressed (e.g., permitting<br />

delays, habitat seasonal restrictions, etc.).<br />

C. Are there any toxins on the property? Has a Phase I or Phase II Toxic Report been<br />

done? If so, address timing of clean-up, type of toxins and delays to project construction<br />

that might result from toxins on the site.<br />

D. Are there other impediments on the project site (e.g., overhead or underground utilities)?<br />

If so, explain their location and nature, including any mitigation measures planned.<br />

(Also answer questions E-H if the project is an acquisition)<br />

E. Describe the actions to be taken after the acquisition is completed to develop the project.<br />

Describe the timeline to begin development (habitat or stream restoration, recreation,<br />

etc.)?<br />

F. Indicate how many parties will be involved in the transaction, what their roles are, and<br />

whether any party other than the applicant owns an option to buy the real property in<br />

question.<br />
