A beaut day for an AGM
WHO says AGMs should be stuffy affairs held in draughty
halls on rainy nights when there’s something worth
watching on telly?
Well, not the Walpole-Nornalup National Parks Association —
they held their AGM in the open air at the Peaceful Bay
picnic gazebo ... and then went for a walk and a picnic!
It was a glorious day for the walk on Saturday, May 7,

in the surf at Point Irwin, near Peaceful Bay.
with members trekking to nearby Point Irwin, where they
saw New Zealand fur seals frolicking in the surf.
Before the walk, the following were elected: president,
Colin Steele; vice-president, Mavis Sowry; secretary,
David Edmonds; treasurer, Steve Jackson; and committee,
Lee Fernie, Geoff Fernie, Gloria Jackson, Philip Powell
and Jeanne Steele.
