Exempt development Schedule 2<br />

(5) Must be removed within 7 days after the premises or land is sold or let.<br />

(6) If located on land in Zone IN1 General Industrial—must be set back at<br />

least 1 metre from the front boundary.<br />

Signage—real estate signs (advertising premises or land for sale or rent) in<br />

residential or rural zones<br />

(1) Must meet the general requirements for signage.<br />

(2) If on land in a residential zone, maximum area—3m 2 .<br />

(3) If on land in a rural zone, maximum area—5m 2 .<br />

(4) Must be removed within 7 days after the premises or land is sold or let.<br />

(5) Must not be illuminated or flashing.<br />

Signage—signs behind the glass line of a shop window<br />

(1) Must meet the general requirements for signage.<br />

(2) If on land in Zone RU4 Primary Production Small Lots, maximum<br />

area—25% of the area of the window.<br />

(3) Must be internally illuminated.<br />

(4) Must not be located in a sex services premise.<br />

Signage—temporary signs (special events)<br />

(1) Must meet the general requirements for signage.<br />

(2) Maximum 2 signs on site.<br />

(3) Maximum 6 signs off site.<br />

(4) If on land in a residential or rural zone:<br />

(a) maximum area—1.5m 2 , and<br />

(b) maximum height—1.5m.<br />

(5) If on land in a commercial or industrial zone:<br />

(a) maximum area—5m 2 , and<br />

(b) maximum height—3m.<br />

(6) Must not include commercial advertising apart from the name of any<br />

event sponsors.<br />

(7) Must not be displayed earlier than 2 months before, or later than 2 days<br />

after, the event.<br />

(8) Must not obstruct the sight line of vehicular traffic.<br />

(9) Must not be illuminated or flashing.<br />
