To power or recharge the lamp, plug the AC charger/adapter barrel connector into<br />
the Power Port located on the base of the lamp. Plug the AC charger/adapter into<br />
a standard 110 VAC 60 Hz electric socket. Observe that the green LED Lights.<br />
DC CHARGER<br />
This DC Charger allows your lamp to be recharged from a 12 volt source. The 12<br />
volt DC source can be a cigarette lighter type socket on a vehicle or boat, a jump<br />
starter or battery pack as long as it has a minimum capacity of 10 ampere hours.<br />
Your lamp has a 6 volt, 6 amp hour rechargeable sealed lead acid<br />
battery inside, so the charging voltage should be nominally 7.5 volts. The<br />
supplied DC Charger converts 12 VDC to 7.5 VDC. See figure 4.<br />
CAUTIONS<br />
- Do not use any other DC Charger with this lamp; you may damage the lamp<br />
charging circuit and void the warranty.<br />
- Do not allow the DC Charger to continuously operate for more than 17 hours.<br />
- The lamp will not accept a charge if the switch is set on and set to dim.<br />
- Recharge time for this lamp is 17 hours with the lamp OFF.<br />
- Operating the lamp during DC recharge will cause damage and void<br />
the warranty<br />
DC RECHARGE<br />
- Make sure the lamp switch is OFF<br />
- Insert the DC plug into the powered DC socket.<br />
- Insert the adapter's barrel connector into the Power Port at the base of<br />
the lamp.<br />
- Observe the green LED and make sure it is lit.<br />
- Charge until the green LED changes to unlit. This indicates full battery charge.<br />
- Disconnect the DC Charger from the DC source and the lamp.<br />
If the lamp does not accept a charge; check the following:<br />
- Make sure the lamp is turned OFF<br />
- Make sure the DC source is providing 12 volts DC.<br />
- Try charging using the AC Charger/Adapter. If the battery accepts the charge,<br />
the DC Charger may be damaged. Call Vector Technical Support.<br />
