LETTER FROM THE EDITORS
We can feel it in our bones that April is going to be a fun month. We
expressed this sense of fun and adventure within the photo shoots that
were created. Using colors, textures and materials, we hoped to create
distinct style and out of this world inspiration. The contributors of this
month’s issue expressed how much fun they can have in creating photo
shoots, writing articles and designing the spreads along with creating
beautiful illustrations. We are never dissatisfied with the quality of work
that is received. Enjoy!

TENNESSE ROSE

What’s the best way to celebrate a Friday or really any day of the
week or mini celebration for that matter? Whiskey. Whiskey is
always a good answer. It’s known as liquid sunshine or something
like that. Knowing a great whiskey cocktail is as essential to adult
life as knowing how to make scrambled eggs or do your laundry.
Here’s my favorite whiskey cocktail. It’s called a Tennessee Rose
and is best made with Tennessee whiskey like Jack Daniel’s or
Dickel.

RECIPE + INSTRUCTIONS
Here’s what you need:
• 2 oz of whiskey
• 3 oz fresh grapefruit juice
• 1 oz fresh lemon juice
• ¼ oz crème de cassis (black-currant liqueur)
• 1 lemon wedge
• ice
• edible rose petals (optional)
Here’s what you do:
1. Juice your grapefruit and your lemons
2. Fill a glass pitcher with all of your ingredients except for the lemon wedge and rose petals
3. Add ice and stir thoroughly until well mixed
4. Fill glass with ice and pour over garnishing with lemon wedge and rose petals if desired
*Note I normally make this for 3-4 people and triple the recipe above, when doing that I use
1 ½ grapefruit and 2 lemons
What better way to welcome spring then with liquid sunshine, citrus and rose!
