CAP 50-03 Customs and Excise Duty Act - BURS

Places at appointed airports of entry for landing or embarkation of persons and landing, loading or
examination of goods including baggage.
(1) Sir Seretse Khama Airport-
(a)
(b)
for the landing and embarkation of persons and the landing of loading of goods-
the apron of the airport directly opposite the terminal building on the west side of the main
runway;
for the examination of passengers and baggage-
the customs examination hall and such other place in the airport terminal building as the
proper officer may decide.
(2) Francistown Airport-
(a)
(b)
for the landing and embarkation of persons and the discharge or loading of goods-
(i) the apron of the airport directly opposite the airport terminal building to the north of the
main runway;
(ii) the apron directly in front of the main hangar on the east of the secondary runway;
for the examination of passengers, baggage and air freight-
The customs examination hall and such other place in the terminal building as the proper
officer may decide.
(3) Kasane Airfield-
for the landing and embarkation of persons, the landing or loading of goods and for the
examination of passengers and baggage-
the control post at the north-west end of the runway.
(4) Selebi-Phikwe Airfield-
(a)
(b)
for the landing and embarkation of persons and the landing and loading of goods-
the apron of the airport directly opposite the airport terminal building on the north side of the
runway;
for the examination of passengers and baggage-
the customs examination hall and such other place in the airport terminal building as the
proper officer may decide.
(5) Maun Airfield-
(a)
(b)
for the landing and embarkation of persons and the landing or loading of goods-
the apron of the airport directly opposite the terminal building on the south side of the main
runway;
for the examination of passengers and baggage-
the customs examination hall and such other place in the airport terminal building as the
proper officer may decide.
