Fontana’s All-Access Summer<br />
The City of Fontana offers Movie Nights, Fun Nights, Concerts and more<br />
The city of Fontana has got<br />
your summer planned with<br />
“Fontana’s All-Access Summer”<br />
events, running weekly<br />
through July 29 at various locations<br />
throughout the city.<br />
Summer events include Movie<br />
Mondays, Family Fun Nights,<br />
Sunset Concerts, Dive-in Movies,<br />
Aquatic programs, the Red, White<br />
& Cruise Fourth of July Celebration<br />
as well as various Fontana<br />
Arts events. Summer is an exciting<br />
time in Fontana as staff plan and<br />
facilitate a wide range of fun,<br />
family friendly activities.<br />
The City’s pools are open<br />
through September 5 for<br />
recreational swim at Don Day,<br />
Heritage and Miller pools. Recreational<br />
swim at the Fontana Park<br />
Aquatic Center is available year<br />
round.<br />
Sunset Concerts occur every<br />
Thursday, 7-9pm, at Veterans Park,<br />
17255 Merrill Ave., through July<br />
28. Attendees are encouraged to<br />
bring a blanket or lawn chair, pick<br />
a spot to settle down on the cool<br />
green grass or get up and dance.<br />
$14.00 Adults (12+); $10.00 Juniors (3-11) & Seniors (62+)<br />
Special discounted rates for Season Pass holders, Students,<br />
AAA Members, Military Personnel and Groups of 15 or more.<br />
• FREE regular parking or preferred parking for $5.00.<br />
• Event hours are from 7:00 p.m. until movie is over.<br />
• All slides and attractions will be open until the start of the movie.<br />
• Seating in the wave pool or on the wave pool beach.<br />

The “Dive-In Movie” is a special ticket event not covered by regular Soak City admission or Season Passes.<br />
During Movie Mondays,<br />
at 6pm, enjoy outdoor movie<br />
theatre. Every week is a different<br />
park and a different movie.<br />
Wednesday evenings is Family<br />
Fun Nights with themed activities<br />
and entertainment celebrating<br />
different styles of music. The fun<br />
starts at 5pm.<br />
Dive-in and relax on Fridays<br />
this summer for a movie at the<br />
pool. Participants can swim and<br />
watch a family friendly movie<br />
all in one. Events begin at 6pm.<br />
Regular swim fees apply.<br />
Once again the city has<br />
partnered with the Auto Club<br />
Speedway for the Red, White and<br />
Cruise Fourth of July Celebration.<br />
The event features a parade, live<br />
entertainment, a children’s zone<br />
and other activities along with a<br />
spectacular fireworks show. Gates<br />
open at 2pm and Fireworks begin<br />
at 9pm. Tickets are on sale at the<br />
Don Day Center, Jessie Turner<br />
Center and Community Services<br />

Returning for a third year<br />
is the Fontana Arts Festival at<br />
Southridge Park, 14501 Live Oak<br />
Avenue, on Saturday July 30 from<br />
2pm to 7pm. Event attendees<br />
will be treated to live musical<br />
performances, art projects, artist<br />
demonstrations, dance exhibits,<br />
art workshops and food and beverages.<br />
This family friendly event<br />
will highlight the performing and<br />
visual arts with unique performance<br />
showcases and inspiring<br />
hands-on activities for children<br />
and adults.<br />
