Placement KNOW YOUR LEARNERS FROM DAY ONE. ELLIS Placement helps you take the guesswork out of identifying learners’ needs by placing them within the ELLIS Suite of products. In the past, one of the greatest challenges in ESL instruction has been initial student evaluations. Every learner has different strengths and weaknesses, and conventional testing methods are time-consuming. The adaptive testing program, ELLIS Placement, tests each learner's abilities in all skill areas: reading, writing, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and listening comprehension–all in as little as 30 minutes. Each test is randomly generated from over 1,000 questions. Depending on the learner's response to each question, Placement adapts its level of difficulty to better match the learner's ability.
