FISHING RODEO AND FAMILY FEST
T
he official weigh-in for the annual Alumni Association’s Fishing Rodeo was moved to
campus this June and a huge crowd of fishermen and spectators filled the school campus.
They were greeted by good food, inflatables for the kids, and great entertainment. All afternoon,
fishermen brought their day’s catch to the weigh station before winners were announced.
Many drawings of gifts were done all day but one of the most enjoyable was the awarding
of 25 Raider fishing poles to kids in attendance. At the conclusion of Family Fest, freshman
Dylan Pelicano was named the King Fisherman of 2013.
ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
Prior to the Homecoming football game, three
alumni were inducted into the school’s Athletic
Hall of Fame. The three honorees are (left) Joe
Burnett, ’85, Jeff Lipari, ’96, and Jeff Winchester,
’98. Burnett was a three sport letterman for the
Raiders, playing football, track, and baseball. Lipari
was a two sport letterman and played baseball
and basketball for Archbishop Rummel. Finally,
Winchester was also a two sport letterman and
played football and baseball for the Raiders.
