Another <strong>Archbishop</strong> <strong>Rummel</strong> tradition was revived<br />

when Student Council brought back <strong>Rummel</strong> Day<br />

to its former glory. Beginning with a prayer service<br />

with Fr. Kurt Young, ’05, <strong>Rummel</strong> Day included student<br />

and alumni speakers who spoke about the past, present,<br />

and future of their alma mater.<br />

To make a great day even better, the Student Councilsponsored<br />

<strong>Rummel</strong> Day joined forces with the Alumni<br />

Association and had alumni awards presented during<br />

the Friday morning gathering. Alum board president<br />

Jason Ural, ’97 explained the process and then<br />

introduced Mr. Rufus Cressend, ’66, who presented Mr.<br />

Peter Oddo, ’66, with the Alumnus of the Year award.<br />

Immediately afterwards, Mr. Donald Stout, ’83, awarded<br />

the Raider Legacy award to the family of Mr. Pete<br />

Fenner. Mr. Fenner’s son, David, ’84, spoke on behalf<br />

of his late father. Following the morning <strong>Rummel</strong> Day<br />

ceremony, the alumni hosted their alumni guests, the<br />

faculty, and families of the honorees for a brunch in the<br />

Raider Room.<br />
