8.3 Control of Nonconformity
When product is found through inspection or other verification not to conform to
requirements, the product is segregated to prevent unintended use. If the nonconformance
is the result of a supplier error, documentation describing the nature of the nonconformance
is communicated to the supplier and the Purchasing Department in order to take appropriate
action.
If the nonconformance is the fault of Norman Filter Company, the situation is evaluated to
determine the need for internal corrective action measures to prevent a reoccurrence. If the
nonconforming product will result in a delay or non-fulfillment of an order, the customer is
provided immediate notification.
