W wyniku zrealizowania przez Politechnikę Gdańską
projektu „Budowa partnerstwa i opracowanie
strategii klastra branży ICT/ETI” (Poddziałanie 1.5.2.
Regionalnego Programu Operacyjnego dla Województwa
Pomorskiego na lata 2007 – 2013) opracowana
została strategia Pomorskiego Klastra ICT
oraz zawiązane zostało formalne partnerstwo tworzące
klaster.

Province for the Period 2009-2015”. As a result of the
Gdańsk University of Technology executing the project
“Construction of Partnership and Development of Strategy
of the Cluster in ICT/ETI Industry” (Subaction 1.5.2.
of the Regional Operational Program for the Pomeranian
Province for the Years 2007 – 2013), strategy of
the Pomeranian ICT Cluster was prepared and a formal
partnership forming the cluster was established.

In 2009, the Pomeranian
ICT Cluster obtained the
title „Key Cluster of the
Pomeranian Office” in the
contest organized by the
Board of the Province,
obtaining the highest
ranks from international
experts assessing clusters
taking part in the contest.
In 2010, the Pomeranian
ICT Cluster was indicated
in the benchmarking
research of the Polish
Agency for Enterprise
Development as the best
representative of that
sector in the country
and one of the most
advanced, in terms of
development strategy,
clusters in Poland.
Actions of the cluster
already bring about
first effects, reflected
in signed contracts
for services between
companies of the cluster,
initiated R&D projects,
conducted analysis of
the equipment needs,
negotiated office
areas in the scientifictechnological
park for
the purposes of ICT
companies, receipt of
support for development
of educational activities
from the regional
local government, etc.
Moreover, intra-sector
cooperation has been
initiated with industries
such as logistics or
creative industries.
