1. Enclosed is the communication letter from Mr. Greg G. Fernandez, Jr. General
Secretary of Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Negros Oriental, Inc.,
YMCA Complex, 151 North Road, Piapi, Dumaguete City informing a 2-day High
School Student Councils Officers and advisers Conference will be on October 29-30,
2012 at the YMCA Guest House and Development Center, Dumaguete City. The
conference theme is "Youth Action on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management".
2. In view of this, all Secondary School Heads are hereby encouraged to send your
student Leaders with the teacher advisers to this activity. ATTENDANCE TO THIS ACTIVITY
IS ON OFFICIAL TIME ONLY..
3. A registration fee of Four Hundred Seventy Five Pesos (Php. 475.00) shall be
collected for the seminar to cover hand-outs, snacks and certificates plus Twenty Five
Pesos (Php 25.00) for YMCA Membership. Out-of-town participants will be provided free
lodging accommodation at the YMCA Guest House, However meals for the duration of the
conference will be the participant's responsibility.
4. Schools are encouraged to source out funds for the registration fee, traveling and other
expenses from PTA, SSG, clubs and other sources.

A 2-day High School Student Council Officers and Advisers Conference will be
sponsored by YMCA of Negros Oriental in coordination with the DepEd
divisions in Negros Oriental on October 29 — 30, 2012 at the YMCA Guest
Howse & Development Center, Dumaguete city. The Conference theme is
"Youth Action on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management".
The Conference which will start on Day I at 9:00am and end on Day 2 at
4:00pm, is designed primarily for the leadership enhancement of the Teacher
In-charge/Advisers and the Students Council Officers with the end in view of
capacitating them to effectively lead their respective Student Councils and
actually involved in current and pressing issues of our community.
Enclosed please find copy of the Training Program and Registration Forms for
your perusal. The Registration Fee is P475.00 (covers hand-outs, snacks and
certificates) plus P25.00 for YMCA Membership. Out-of-town participants will
be provided free lodging accommodation at the YMCA Guest House. However,
meals for the duration of the conference will be the participant's responsibility.
For effective coordination and support, may we request your office to please
endorse the participation of the high schools in public and private schools in the
Province of Negros Oriental and help disseminate said endorsement in your
Division.
