de Jiiarez. Plants many leaved, radial, suckering; rosettes green; leaves
swordlike, stiff, long; teeth heavy, black.

CoL No. 20273. Local name: Maguey del Curnbre. Roadside, 22 km.
beyond Ixtlan, road to Tuxtepec, Oaxaca. Elevation 2,900 meters. Plants
large, glaucous green (the largest wild agave seen by the collector), forming
seedling population on rocky, forested slope; leaves wide, ascending, to
2 meters long and 40 cm. wide; peduncle thick, to 10 meters high, with 12
to 18 short laterals. Densely fruited, now in bud:

of Tehuacan along road to Huajuafcan, Puebla. Elevation 1,750 meters.
Rosettes mostly single, radial, green with ascending straight plane leaves;
spike with short umbellate branches 5 meters high with open capsules.

Elevation 2,300 meters. Plant rosette; leaves few, small, narrow, spotted
