HUNTERS UNDER-SADDLE<br />

Exhibitors should note the scheduled time of commencement of judging of their section, as shown below,<br />

and ensure that their animals are on the <strong>Show</strong>ground in good time for judging.<br />

Note: Eligibility of Exhibit, see Reg. 104.<br />

Riders must be properly dressed.<br />

All Hunters Under-Saddle classes at this <strong>Show</strong> are affiliated to Sport Horse Breeding of Great<br />

Britain and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in Hunters Under-<br />

Saddle classes are subject to the constitution and rules of SHB (GB) including the disciplinary<br />

procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of SHB (GB).<br />

Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> Qualifying Classes:<br />

The Hunter classes duly noted are qualifying classes for Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> 2013. In the Lightweight,<br />

Middleweight, Heavyweight, Small Hunter, Ladies Hunter and Working Hunter classes, the highest placed<br />

unqualified <strong>horse</strong> in the first three will qualify to enter at Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong>. No <strong>horse</strong> lower than third<br />

will qualify. Championship sponsors in this section at Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> are TopSpec for the Weights,<br />

Ripon Select Foods for the Smalls and Cuddy for the Working Hunter. Qualification will be verified by the<br />

Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> office.<br />

The National Hunter Supreme Championship <strong>Show</strong> Qualifying Classes<br />

The Weights and Small Hunter Classes are qualifying classes for the 2013 National Hunter Supreme<br />

Championship <strong>Show</strong>. The three highest placed <strong>horse</strong>s in each of the classes will qualify to enter. No <strong>horse</strong><br />

lower than third place will qualify.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

All entries in the Hunters Under-Saddle classes must be on the Basic Identity Record or Stud Book of SHB (GB).<br />

Registration numbers must be given on the entry form There must be no alteration to the natural<br />

markings of a <strong>horse</strong>.<br />

In Hunters Under Saddle Horse of the Year <strong>Show</strong> qualifying classes, both owners and riders must be<br />

members of SHB (GB) and only <strong>horse</strong>s that are registered on SHB (GB) 2013 <strong>Show</strong> Hunter Register are eligible<br />

to enter. The <strong>Show</strong> Registration number must be quoted on all entry forms. Alternatively, an exhibitor may<br />

make a Temporary Registration with SHB (GB) at a cost of £20 each show, which would allow competition<br />

at two qualifying shows; if the <strong>horse</strong> qualifies, then full registration must be completed before the<br />

Championship <strong>Show</strong> for which the <strong>horse</strong> has qualified. £20 refund will be given<br />

HEADWEAR: Anyone on a <strong>horse</strong> must wear a hard hat. A skull cap or hat and safety harness according to<br />

current approved BSI or European Standard must be worn by ALL competitors in the jumping phase of the<br />

Working Hunter Class. Skull caps must have a navy blue or black cover.<br />

SAFETY: The Organisers of this <strong>Show</strong> have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of<br />

everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to<br />

avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all the Officials<br />

and Stewards<br />

Although every effort will be made, it may not be possible for the Judge to ride every <strong>horse</strong> in each class.<br />

RESTRICTION ON ENTRIES:<br />

No <strong>horse</strong> may be entered in both a Hunters Under-Saddle Class,<br />

Working <strong>Show</strong> Horse Classes and a Riding Horse Class, with the<br />

exception of a Working Hunter Class.<br />
