the power (acting as agent on behalf of such<br />

Exhibitor, servant, agent, attendant or any other<br />

person) and authority to remove or procure the<br />

removal of said animals, plant, machinery,<br />

equipment, vehicles, articles or other things of<br />

whatever nature from the <strong>Show</strong>ground to a<br />

suitable and secure location and shall be entitled<br />

to recover all costs of such removal, re-location,<br />

storage and/or stabling or stalling; and in the<br />

case of animals the costs of fodder and bedding<br />

and all other costs reasonably incurred from such<br />

Exhibitor, servant, agent, attendant or any other<br />

person. Notwithstanding such removal, the<br />

Exhibitor shall remain the owner and be<br />

responsible for said animals, plant, machinery,<br />

equipment, vehicles, articles or other things of<br />

whatever nature and the disclaimer of liability<br />

and indemnity set out in paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2<br />

above shall continue to apply irrespective of such<br />

removal, re-location, storage stabling or stalling.<br />

Entries<br />

3.1. Entries will only be accepted up till the<br />

following dates on appropriate forms<br />

obtainable from the Society’s <strong>Show</strong><br />

Department or by entering online via<br />

www.royalhighlandshow.org.uk:<br />

3.2. No entries will be accepted by the <strong>Show</strong><br />

Department unless accompanied by the<br />

appropriate fees, plus VAT at the standard rate<br />

prevailing at date of receipt of entry.<br />

3.3. Provisional entries will be accepted in<br />

respect of animals from flocks or herds which<br />

are subject to restrictions under the Animal<br />

Health Act 1981, but which are expected to have<br />

had the restrictions removed prior to the <strong>Show</strong>.<br />

In the event of restrictions failing to be removed,<br />

entry fees will be refunded provided written<br />

notification accompanied by veterinary<br />

certification is received by the <strong>Show</strong> Manager<br />

not later than 1st June.<br />

Similarly entry fees will be refunded in respect of<br />

animals from a herd upon which restrictions are<br />

imposed after the closing date for entries<br />

provided written notification accompanied by<br />

veterinary certification is received not later than<br />

1st June. Entry Fees will not be refunded in<br />

respect of such withdrawals notified after that<br />

date.<br />

Responsibility for Entries<br />

4. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the<br />

accuracy and eligibility of their entries. The<br />

recording of an entry or the admission of the<br />

exhibit to the <strong>Show</strong>ground will not relieve the<br />

Exhibitor of this responsibility. The entry fee<br />

paid for an animal entered in a class for which it<br />

is not eligible is not returnable. At no time shall<br />

an incorrect entry be allowed to move to<br />

another class.<br />

Suspended Exhibitors<br />

5. The Board of Directors reserves the right to<br />

refuse, cancel, or prohibit the exhibition of<br />

entries from any person, particularly those<br />

under suspension by any Agricultural Breed<br />

Society or Club or by British <strong>Show</strong> Jumping or<br />

other Horse and Pony Societies.<br />

Limitation of Entries<br />

6. In the event of more entries being made for<br />

Classes in this Prize List than can be<br />

accommodated, the Board of Directors reserves<br />

the right to require Exhibitors to make a<br />

proportional reduction in the number of their<br />

entries in which case a refund will be made of<br />

the relative fees.<br />

One Class Only<br />

7. Other than for animals entered in the Light<br />

Horse, Heavy Horse Turnout and Driving<br />

Sections, or where otherwise specially provided<br />

for in this Prize List, no animal may compete in<br />

more than one class. In all cases, no animal may<br />

compete in any class except that prescribed for<br />

animals of its pedigree and description.<br />

Ownership<br />

8.1. All Stock exhibited at the <strong>Show</strong>, except where<br />

otherwise stated in the Prize List, must be, at the<br />

closing date of entry, the bona fide property of<br />

the Exhibitor(s) in whose name it is entered.<br />

8.2. A stallion hired for the season will be<br />

considered to be the property of the person to<br />

whom it is hired.<br />

8.3. An entry or entries may be submitted on<br />
