Veterinarians must keep records for all
controlled substances used or dispensed.
These must be kept for 3 years by Florida law.
Records for Schedule III, IV, and V controlled
substances can be maintained as part of
patient t records, by must be readily retrievable.
Schedule II records must be kept separately.
You must maintain i records or invoices i of
controlled substances received for a 2 year
period after the last quantity of each controlled
substance on the invoice has been depleted.
