Veterinary Prescription <strong>Drugs</strong> Veterinary yprescription p drugs must be properly labeled before being dispensed. dspe sed Appropriate dispensing and treatment records must be maintained, and veterinary prescription drugs should be dispensed d only in quantities required for the treatment of the animal(s) for which the drugs are dispensed.
Veterinarian/Client/Patient Relationship A VCPR exists when all of the following conditions have been meet: 1. The veterinarian has sufficient knowledge of the animal(s) to initiate at least a general or preliminary diagnosis of the medical condition of the animal(s), which h means that t the veterinarian i is personally acquainted with the keeping and caring of the animal(s) and has seen the animal(s) or has made medically appropriate and timely visits to the premises where the animal(s) are kept.
